Christopher Wooldridge

Chris began work on mobile apps in 2000 while leading the technical Pre-Sales team at Bullant Software.

Having seen iMode handsets and iAppli in action in Japan in 2001, he became convinced that mobile apps were the way of the future.

Chris became CEO of Bullant Software in 2002 and immediately focused the Company on building handset based smart-client solutions for mobile operators.

Chris sold solutions based on the smart-client solution stack to NTT AS Labs in Japan, Optus in Australia, Vodafone in the UK and SingTel in Singapore.

Chris stepped down as CEO in 2006 after Bullant merged with ECONZ Wireless to form uiActive (now renamed xumii). Chris founded Phidget in 2007.

Chris has also held senior posts at Oracle, Accenture and WebAustralia.

Chris has a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from Macquarie University and and BSc (hons) from The University of Liverpool.
