Viral Distribution

PACE supports the viral distribution of the client as well as individual campaigns as well as content packaged with campaigns.

That campaigns and content should be shareable was a central tenet of the design of PACE. Thus, the client supports sharing of content, campaigns and ultimately, the client itself.

Sharing

The client supports sharing of content at many different levels: HTTP links from campaigns can be shared via SMS and images via MMS.

Since rules are able to read SMS messages containing certain patterns, campaigns can also be shared as the client can read the SMS and then prompt the user via a Popup whether they wish to install the campaign referenced in the SMS.

A campaign definition can include ancillary content such as Flash® movies, images or even apps. For this reason, channel sharing is a very powerful feature, effectively enabling the viral distribution of any content type.

Ultimately, if the user does not have the PACE client installed, the user can follow a link in a message and be directed to a server where they can download both the client and the campaign. In this way, the client supports the viral distribution of itself to compatible handsets.

technical benefits

viral distribution of campaigns is highly from a social marketing perspective and the PACE client fully supports sharing at multiple levels: from simple web links to campaigns and ultimately the client itself.
